Today July 25th would had been day 1 of the 2020 Vans US Open of Surfing, but of course due to the Covid-19 Pandemic this show has been postponed until 2021. We will not see surfing greats from San Clemente local Kolohe Andino to Huntington Beaches own Kanoa Igarashi and last but not least the Joel Tudor Duct Tape Invitational (yes, you have to be invited to participate in this event) surfers like Tosh Tudor, Alex Knost, Tyler Warren, Scotty Stopnik, Andy Nieblas, Kasia Meador and many. more. This surf contest is held on the south side of the HB pier and in total it is a 9 day event put on by IMG, WSL, Swatch, Jeep, Michelob Ultra, Cuervo Tradicional, Barefoot, Hydro Flask, Harley-Davidson Motor Cycles, BF Goodrich, CLIF, Frontier Communications, Ralphs, Polo and Sea Of Seven. Top surfers from around the world come to compete inside this biggest surfing contest in the world from greats Kelly Slater, Mick Fanning, Taj Burrow, Andy Irons, Gabriel Medina, Occy, Tom Curren, Brad Gerlach, Shane Beschen, Chris Brown, Donavon Frankenreiter all riding for the surfings biggest brands. The entire industry will be here from Billabong, Hurley, Quiksilver, O'Neill, Volcom, Nike, Roxy, Reef, Rusty, Xanadu, Outerknown, RVCA all looking for the next great performer.
