We have just got word that Seaweed and Gravel is closing it's doors after 14 years in Leucadia. The store was owned and operated by David Patri who originally started the clothing brand Split (surfers Mikala Jones, Josh Loya, Shea Lopez)  then a design director at O'Neill and to date the store Encinitas store owner. The various brands that he carried were Steady State coffee, Alva surfboards, Parallel Stance, Hot Rod surfboards, Sun & Loom, Sungodz, Biltwell, Ensea, Sad eyewear, Weston Jon Boucher, Viva La Vacay, B-Sedan, Nine One One, Bradley Mountain, Iron and Resin, Crawford Denim, Van Royke, Sea Of Seven and many more. Events included bonsai workshops, skateboarding cruiser board style contest, car and motorcycle meetups along with makers markets from various artisan vendors near and far. Group rides were a common occurrence as Dave was an avid two wheel rider. Thank you Dave for everything you did for all us clothing brands and constantly for the community - your store will be missed!

In short: "Established 2012 Seaweed & Gravel is a retail extension of the collective conscious of non-conforming-never-grow-up-weirdos. We feature new and vintage apparel for men and women, moto riding gear, surfboards, accessories, home goods, bonsai trees and more." S&G
