I was not expecting this big of a swell. Some things had scrolled over my social media about a huge swell coming, but I believe close to nothing I read on any social platforms. I has with a coworker on Monday evening and he asked if I had seen the swell coming. This instantly got my heart racing and I than immeditaley went onto stormsurf.com. They were saying Malibu 6-8ft. The next morning I had to wait for the film lab to open at 8, because I didn't have enough rolls of film to go up there with. I bought 5 rolls of the Kodak Ultramax color negative 400asa film. I truly never know what color film to buy and I bought a few rolls of black and white for backup. - Jack English (my photos)

The crowd makes Malibu dangerous - it's one of the easiest waves to surf which makes it so crowded
