Hurricane Douglas is heading straight for the Hawaiian islands with winds of 120 mph with extensions of up to 25 miles from the center of this storm. The current positions of this storm is 895 miles east southeast of Hilo (the big island of Hawaii) and the direction it is moving is west-northwest towards all of the islands. There will be extremely strong winds, huge waves and surf along with major rainfall that could begin hitting the island chain as early as Saturday night July 25 into Sunday the 26th. If their is any good news to this situation it is forecast to weaken as it will be moving over cooler water and will downsize to a category 1 hurricane with winds ranging from 75-96 mph which will then make it a tropical storm.
