Darryl "Flea" Virostko - The Hollywood Movie

We had the feel good story of Chasing Mavericks an biographical drama about the life of Santa Cruz surfer Jay Moriarity and now Hollywood is back on a much darker side with a possible feature film on Darryl "Flea" Virostko. Flea is his nickname due to looking like a flea is most known for his air surfing in his younger years at places like Steamer Lane in Santa Cruz to graduating to the big surf of places like Mavericks and Waimea Bay located on the North Shore of Oahu. His life was almost ended by falling off a cliff landing him in the hospital with stitches in the head and a broken arm. Surfers in the movie may consist of Shawn "Barney" Barron, Anthony Ruffo, Jason "Ratboy" Collins, Peter Mel, Josh Loya, Nate Acker, Vince Collier, Adam Replogle and Kenny "Skindog" Collins. Flea was at the top of his surfing career when he bought a home and then within years lost everything he owned and his surfing sponsors.
